HO SD60E Locomotive with DCC and Sound, NS #7000 (ATHG65295)

An HO-scale Norfolk Southern SD60E locomotive with DCC and sound, road number 7000, presented in a Legendary Liveries edition. This model brings NS’s SD60E rebuild to the layout with onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell effects on DC or DCC operation.

Designed for HO layouts, it features a heavy die-cast frame for traction and all-wheel drive, with detailed exterior elements such as lit number boards, ground lights above the front trucks, a long hood-mounted air horn, and see-through cab windows. Road-number–specific touches for NS 7000 include a 4,500-gallon fuel tank with NS horsehead cut-outs on the walkway guards. It uses Quick Plug, a 21-pin DCC connector, and is NMRA-compatible for easy DCC integration, with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for smooth operation. The model operates on both DC and DCC and includes a CV chart for easy configuration.
