HO GP50 Diesel Road Switcher ATSF #3822 Model (ATHG65832)

HO-scale Santa Fe GP50 diesel road-switcher model—fully assembled and ready to run—recreates General Motors’ GP50 in late-era Santa Fe service, with updates such as a nose-mounted headlight, ditch lights, roof-mounted A/C and a relocated horn for an authentic on-layout look. Two variation options reflect differing prototype details, including one Phase I style with blue ditch lights and a rear-facing exhaust and another Phase II style with yellow ditch lights and a forward-facing exhaust, along with subtle font and body differences to add variety to a fleet.

Inside, the locomotive features a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, etched steps, and a detailed fuel tank, all mounted on a heavy die-cast chassis for solid traction. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play 21-pin NEM connector and can be operated on DC or DCC; some versions include onboard DCC decoders with Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for realistic engine, horn and bell effects. The model uses RP25-contoured wheels, McHenry scale knuckle couplers, and offers all-wheel drive and electric pickup for dependable performance on HO tracks. Minimum radius is 18 inches with a recommended radius of 22 inches for best results.
