It comes ready to run with an onboard DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, plus dual cube speakers for clear, realistic audio. The layout-ready locomotive operates on DC or DCC and uses Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector for easy DCC upgrades. Designed for authentic operation, this GP50 features road-number-specific detailing and period-accurate touches such as roof-mounted A/C equipment and lighting configurations. The model includes a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, etched see-through steps, scale handrails, and a heavy die-cast frame for traction. All-wheel electrical pickup and RP25 wheel contours help it track smoothly on most HO tracks, with an 18" minimum radius (22" recommended) for reliable handling around curves.
