HO GP39-2 Locomotive CSX YN3 #4300 (ATHG66249)

HO-scale CSX GP39-2 locomotive, road number 4300, is a faithful representation of CSX’s late-1980s ex-Reading/D&H GP39-2s used for locals, haulers, and yard switching. The model captures the early phase 1 body with correct CSX artwork and colors, illuminated number boards, front and rear ditch lights, and a five-chime horn, along with a roof-mounted air conditioner, a nose hatch, and the distinctive mailbox-slot battery box doors. Variants for 4300, 4307, and 4311 reproduce small but telling differences in ditch-light layouts and truck detail to match the prototype.

Inside, the locomotive features a see-through cab with a full interior, detailed handrails, etched components, and Blomberg B trucks with bearing caps, all riding on a heavy die-cast frame for extra traction. It uses RP25 wheel contours for smooth running on standard track, and is DCC-ready with Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, plus LED lighting for realistic operation. Sound-equipped versions add a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 and dual speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds in DC and DCC modes, with CVs for fine-tuning.
