This faithful reproduction mirrors the MP15AC’s modern AC-drive design, using an alternator to generate AC power that is converted to DC for the traction motors, and it features a longer body to accommodate the rectifier gear for improved reliability and space for electronics.

SP-specific detailing includes a full lighting package on both ends, ground lights, a hood-mounted bell, a Nathan P3 horn, SP-style cab number boards, and a large fuel tank.
