HO MP15AC Locomotive SP #2751 (ATHG66268)

HO MP15AC Locomotive SP #2751 is a detailed HO-scale model of EMD's MP15AC light road switcher, reproduced in Southern Pacific livery for yard and interchange work on an HO-layout. In prototype service, the MP15AC replaced the DC generator with an AC alternator for improved reliability, and the SP version is longer to accommodate the rectifier equipment with distinctive lower nose intakes and electric cooling fans. This model captures those design cues to deliver authentic SP operation on a modern layout.

Built on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline and all-wheel drive, the model delivers solid traction and smooth, quiet performance. It features a full SP light package on both ends, ground lights, ditch lights, see-through cab windows, and SP-style number boards. The design is DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connectors, and some versions offer onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers and full DCC functionality. Minimum radius is 18 inches, and McHenry knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) help keep trains coupled securely on your layout.
