HO GP39-2u Locomotive with DCC and Sound BNSF #2773 (ATHG66355)

An HO-scale GP39-2u locomotive with DCC and sound in BNSF livery, road number 2773, designed to bring authentic late-20th-century EMD power to HO model railways. The model features a Phase I GP39-2u body with grill detailing, illuminated swing-out number boards, a newly tooled exhaust stack, forward ditch lights, a large anticlimber, and a rear-mounted fuel tank, all finished in a faithful BNSF repaint to reflect the prototype’s post-merger appearance.

Under the shell, a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor drives a heavy die-cast frame for smooth, reliable operation. The detail-rich build includes see-through cab windows with a full interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, etched metal fan grilles, and body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). DCC-ready Quick Plug with a 21-pin NEM connector enables easy DCC setup, and sound-equipped versions feature a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers for realistic engine, horn, and bell sounds on both DC and DCC layouts, along with LED lighting and an 18-inch minimum-radius requirement for dependable operation on standard HO track.
