HO MP15AC Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Soo Line livery, #1539, is an HO-scale model of EMD’s MP15AC light road switcher. This ready-to-run locomotive combines an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and two speakers to reproduce authentic engine rumble, horn blasts, and bell chimes as it moves around a layout.

It rides on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline and a 5-pole skew-wound motor for solid pulling power and smooth, quiet operation. Features include RP25-contoured wheels with all-wheel electrical pickup, full cab interior and see-through windows, wire grab irons, and prototypical lighting such as ditch lights, ground lights, and a cab beacon. The model is designed for both DC and DCC use, with a full set of DCC functions and NMRA compatibility, and it uses a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for easy setup; a CV chart is included for customization. Minimum radius is 18 inches, and McHenry-scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) provide ready coupling to rolling stock and other locomotives.
