SOO Line HO MP15AC Locomotive with DCC and Sound, road number 1558, is an HO-scale recreation of EMD’s MP15AC light road switcher. Built for yard switching and short-haul service, this model captures the AC-powered drive and distinctive profile of the MP15AC while delivering modern DCC functionality and authentic sound for a more immersive operating experience. The model is fully assembled and ready to run, including onboard SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and a compatible DCC decoder for lively engine, horn, and bell sound in both DC and DCC modes.

Designed for layout use, it features a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, a heavy die-cast frame for traction, and all-wheel drive with RP25 wheels for smooth, quiet operation. It comes with a dedicated DCC-ready Quick Plug plug-and-play system (21-pin NEM connector), dual cube speakers, and separately applied detail parts such as see-through cab windows, handrails, ground lights, and operating ditch lights.
