HO MP15AC Locomotive with DCC and Sound for NY&A 156 is an HO-scale diesel switcher modeled after the EMD MP15AC. Built for yard switching and light road work, it captures the prototype’s AC propulsion and detailed, era-appropriate presentation, delivering authentic operation on the layout. The model supports DCC control and, in sound-equipped versions, includes onboard sound to bring the engine to life during operation.

Key features include a Genesis driveline with a five-pole motor and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet operation, plus a heavy die-cast frame for traction. It carries a full cab interior, see-through windows, and finely rendered details, with ground lights, ditch lights, and a hood-mounted bell and large fuel tank to reflect the NY&A prototype. DCC readiness uses Quick Plug with a 21-pin NEM connector; the sound version adds a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 and dual speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds that work in both DC and DCC.
