HO MP15AC Locomotive with DCC & Sound in GMTX #335 is an HO-scale replica of EMD’s compact MP15AC light switcher, built for authentic yard switching and short-haul work on a modern layout. This ready-to-run model reproduces the prototype’s AC-drive design in GMTX SP-era livery, including SP-style number boards and a cab-mounted horn for a convincing, period-correct appearance.

Inside, an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 delivers locomotive, horn, and bell sounds through two speakers and works in both DC and DCC modes with full DCC functionality. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive and RP25 wheel contours for smooth, quiet operation, plus a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, and extra detail parts. GMTX-specific features for #335 include the dark blue/black repaint and period-correct fittings such as SP lighting, along with operating ditch and ground lights. For easy setup, it uses a 21-pin NEM DCC interface and supports CV tuning, and it comes with Kadee-compatible knuckle couplers and an 18-inch minimum radius for reliable performance on standard layouts.
