HO-scale 50-foot PC&F Smooth-Side Boxcar with a 10'6" door captures the look of mid-1960s insulated service, designed for temperature-sensitive freight such as canned goods. This model reproduces the PC&F smooth-side boxcar with the distinctive door arrangement and, with prototypical painting and detailing, adds authentic character to HO layouts.

Detail highlights include separate wire grab irons and etched metal features such as coupler platforms and roofwalk, plus a highly detailed injection-molded body with a cushion underframe and full brake rigging. The underframe houses an air brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinder with plumbing and brake rods. A weighted chassis promotes steady running, while the trucks roll on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours. Body-mounted, McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers come with lift bars, trainline hoses and brake hoses for realistic operation. The finish is accurately painted and printed for prototypical realism, and the model is designed to run on HO track with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
