HO Scale F89-F 89'8" TOFC flatcar with trailer is an authentic intermodal model designed to recreate mid-century to modern trailer-on-flatcar service on a layout. The set pairs a long F89-F flatcar with a dedicated trailer and arrives fully decorated and ready to run. The flatcar features a heavy die-cast underframe, a detailed deck, raised and lowered hitches, 70-ton roller-bearing trucks with animated bearing caps, and separately applied brake hardware, including wire-formed brake plumbing, grab irons and ladders. Machined RP25 wheels, body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers, and ballast-weighting help ensure smooth, reliable operation, while the design supports dedicated intermodal trains or mixed freight on layouts with a minimum radius of 22 inches (24 inches and up recommended).
