Two HO-scale CSX SD70M locomotives in the YN2 scheme faithfully reproduce ex-EMDX demonstrator power, CSX numbers 4683 and 4698. These road-number-specific models capture the prototype’s artwork and distinguishing details, including 4683’s blue cab roof and large front EMD plow and 4698’s white cab roof with the front plow removed. Round EMD-style ditch lights and the Nathan P-3 horn contribute to an authentic CSX look for HO-layout enthusiasts seeking accurate CSX power in the YN2 livery.

Inside, the SD70M line delivers solid, prototypical performance. Features include a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor and precision flywheels, a heavy die-cast frame for traction, RP25 wheel contours for compatibility with popular HO track, and all-wheel electrical pickup for smooth running. The model offers see-through cab windows with a full interior, fine Celcon handrails, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible). It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector, and sound-equipped variants add onboard Tsunami2 sound that works in both DC and DCC.
