HO SD70M Locomotive ONT Flared #2121 (ATHG71126)

An HO-scale SD70M locomotive in Ontario Northland’s flared-cab livery, representing ex-NS units rebuilt for ONT. It captures late-era details such as deck-mounted front and rear ditch lights, a PTC antenna array, a late four-panel radiator body, and a sloped EMD cab nose with a small front plow. The model includes see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, a heavy die-cast frame for authentic weight and pulling power, and LED lighting to bring the prototype to life on HO layouts.

Inside, a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor delivers smooth, quiet operation with all-wheel drive, supported by RP25 wheels for reliable track contact. It uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee-compatible and a DCC-ready Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for easy digital installation. Sound-equipped versions add an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 that runs in both DC and DCC modes, with engine, horn, and bell sounds in DC and full DCC functionality in DCC mode; minimum radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best performance.
