HO SD70M Locomotive with DCC & Sound, UP Flared #4863 (ATHG71219)

Union Pacific SD70M Locomotive with DCC & Sound in the UP flared radiator livery is an HO-scale model designed to bring authentic UP power to a layout. This version faithfully reproduces the UP appearance with a white cab roof, a Nathan 3-chime horn, GPS dome and assorted antennas, along with the two-panel flared radiator body and round ditch lights. Onboard sound delivers engine, horn, and bell sounds, and the model runs on both DC and DCC for flexible operation on any layout.

Built for HO railroading, it features a heavy die-cast frame for traction, see-through cab windows with a full interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, and LED lighting. It rides on RP25-contour wheels and uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee compatible, and is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin interface. The onboard DCC decoder carries SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and operates in both DC and DCC, with full DCC functions available in DCC mode and engine/horn/bell sounds in DC. Three prototype road numbers are included for fleet variety, with accurate decals and details such as the GPS dome, antennas, plow, and flared radiator body. Minimum curve radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches or larger recommended for smooth operation and full detail.
