HO scale Southern Pacific Mt-4 class 4-8-2 Mountain steam locomotive model reproduces SP’s distinctive early-green boiler scheme for HO layouts. It brings the look and feel of classic mountain service power to a 1920s–1950s-era model railroad scene.

It features period-accurate detailing such as metal handrails, adjustable cab windows and doors, see-through running boards with safety tread, lighted number boards, and riveted firebox backhead. The model can be built with or without Skyline casing to match SP appearances and includes factory-installed parts like builder’s plates, cab interior details, and McHenry operating knuckle couplers. It runs on standard HO curves with a minimum radius of 22 inches, and covers the era from 1926–1958. Newer versions add dual-cube speakers for realistic sound, LED headlights for brighter night operation, and improved loco-to-tender connections and electrical pickup for durability and smoother performance.
