HO-scale Union Pacific DDA40X Centennial Locomotive with DCC and Sound, UP #6900, is a detailed HO model that recreates UP's 98-foot double‑engine diesel from 1969–1971 in the as-delivered Centennial scheme. This ready-to-run locomotive includes a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and four-cube speakers, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds on both DC and DCC layouts.

Designed for layout realism, it features UP-specific details such as illuminated beacon (DCC only), classification lights, and number boards, along with working truck lights, see-through walkways, and MU hoses. The model also carries a full cab interior and see-through cab windows, sits on a heavy die-cast frame with eight-wheel drive and RP25 wheels for smooth operation, and uses body-mounted knuckle couplers. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug‑and‑play technology using a 21‑pin NEM connector and can be powered from DC or DCC.
