HO Burlington Northern SD60M Tri-Clops Locomotive with DCC & Sound is a detailed HO-scale model designed to faithfully reproduce BN’s heavy SD60Ms in the distinctive Tri-Clops three-window cab configuration. It captures the prototype look with forward ditch lights, illuminated front and rear number boards, white anticlimbers, and a small EMD front plow, while see-through cab windows reveal a full interior for a lifelike operating cab. The DCC-enabled model integrates SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound for authentic engine, horn, and bell cues and runs on both DC and DCC for versatile use on a wide range of layouts.

Under the shell, the locomotive uses a Genesis driveline with a five-pole motor, a heavy die-cast frame, and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet pulling power. It features LED lighting, lit number boards (and lit class lights/beacons if equipped), scale handrails, see-through cab interior, McHenry scale knuckle couplers, and RP25 wheels for reliable operation on HO track. Sound-equipped versions add an onboard DCC decoder with Tsunami2 and dual cube speakers, with NMRA-compatible functions and CV tuning; a CV chart is included for easy setup. The model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum 18" radius (22" recommended) to ensure smooth, dependable operation.
