HO SD70ACe Locomotive KCS #4158 (ATHG75744)

An HO-scale SD70ACe locomotive in Kansas City Southern’s Southern Belle livery, designed to bring modern freight power to a model railroad. This fully assembled, ready-to-run model reproduces the late-2010s prototype with a nose-mounted headlight, lit number boards, and truck lights, plus the as-delivered four-step walkways for authentic detail.

Inside, a Genesis driveline with a five-pole motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain delivers smooth, quiet pulling power, while eight-wheel drive and all-wheel electrical pickup provide dependable operation on a variety of layouts. The die-cast frame adds traction, and features such as fine Celcon handrails, see-through cab windows, and a full cab interior enhance realism. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug and a 21-pin NEM connector and uses body-mounted couplers for authentic MU operation; RP25 wheels ensure compatibility with common tracks. LED lighting, detailed fuel tanks, and scalable features further reinforce the prototype look, and sound-equipped versions add onboard Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers and full DC/DCC functionality for engine, horn, and bell sounds, adjustable via CVs. The model is designed for minimum radii of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) to ensure smooth operation on typical layouts.
