HO-scale Ferromex SD70ACe Locomotive with DCC & Sound in the bright red and grey Ferromex livery, unit #4053, is a ready-to-run diesel model built to bring authentic modern freight power to HO layouts. It reproduces the distinctive Ferromex scheme and includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound for realistic engine, horn, and bell effects on both DC and DCC operation. This repaint line includes two Ferromex units—#4053 (2022) and #4029 (2021)—each with small detail differences to add variety to a fleet.

Beyond its looks, the locomotive features lit number boards, truck lights, a nose-mounted headlight, and scale details such as flexible trainline and MU hoses, etched see-through steps, lift rings, and LED lighting. It rides on a heavy die-cast frame with eight-wheel drive and RP25-contoured wheels for smooth pulling power on common tracks. A Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector makes DCC installation straightforward, and the onboard sound system provides engine, horn, and bell sounds with full DCC functionality and two cube speakers for clear, model-scale sound on both DC and DCC layouts.
