Based on ex-UP SD90MAC cores, these units received a new EMD cab, upgraded electronics, and a dedicated electrical cabinet, and the model captures that look with illuminated headlights and number boards, see-through air intakes, and a detailed cab interior for real-world presence on any layout.

Inside, a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound delivers authentic engine, horn, and bell audio through dual speakers and works on both DC and DCC layouts. The locomotive is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology using a 21-pin NEM connector, features LED lighting, body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and RP25-contour wheels for reliable operation.
