This ready-to-run model faithfully reproduces NS's modern SD70ACU rebuilds, originally based on ex-UP SD90MAC cores and upgraded with new electronics for today’s operations. It is designed to deliver a realistic, operation-ready engine for HO layouts on both DC and DCC.

Fully assembled and ready to run, the model features onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and two speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell audio. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector and supports full DCC functions, while remaining operable on DC.
