HO VersaCoil Gondola NS 168592 is an HO-scale coil-car model designed to replicate the versatile VersaCoil gondolas used for transporting steel coils. The transverse trough design accommodates coils from 30' to 72' in length, enabling efficient loading and secure transport on a layout. This NS Phase 2 variant features removable hoods for authentic operation and is packed with finely rendered underbody details and separate hardware that mirrors the prototype.

On the rails, the model rides on 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with rotating caps and features machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for reliable performance on most HO track. It includes separate wireform grab irons, etched metal coupler platforms, coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware, with body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers for prototypical operation. Weighted for stable, realistic handling, it is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches and 22 inches recommended.
