HO-scale VersaCoil Gondola for Canadian Pacific, designed to haul coils in a transverse trough system. The VersaCoil concept enables loading coils from 30 to 72 feet quickly and with less risk of damage, reflecting the real-world design's focus on efficiency and safety. The model reproduces multiple production phases, with some versions featuring removable hoods depending on the phase.

It features separate wireform grab irons and etched metal coupler platforms, 100-ton roller bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps, coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours provide smooth operation on common HO track, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers deliver authentic coupling. The car is weighted for realistic handling and has a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended). The kit includes removable coils, detailed underbodies, and numerous period-appropriate details such as etched platforms and hoses, with hood configurations replicated for the different VersaCoil phases.
