HO VersaCoil Gondola in Canadian Pacific livery is an HO-scale model of a versatile coil car designed to carry coils from 30 to 72 feet in a single transverse trough. This loading design speeds loading and protects coil edges during handling, making it a practical centerpiece for realistic freight operations on a layout.

This rendition captures multiple VersaCoil variants, including Phase 1 bodies without hoods and Phase 2 bodies with removable hoods, and is rich with fine detail such as separate wireform grab irons, etched metal coupler platforms, and a detailed undercarriage. It rides on 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with animated rotating bearing caps, and includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and other hardware. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth operation on typical HO track, while body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers simplify coupling. The model is weighted for steady running and designed for a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended). All cars include removable coils, with removable hoods appearing on the Phase 2 variants; additional details include rubber train-line hoses and coupler cut levers.
