HO NSC 6000 Gondola with Load (ATHG78607)

This HO-scale NSC 6000 Gondola with Load faithfully reproduces National Steel Car’s massive modern gondola, designed to represent a 6,000 cubic-foot capacity car on HO layouts. It includes a removable scrap load to reflect typical on-rail operations, bringing realistic detail to modern-era scenery and freight rosters.

Beyond the body, the model features metal grab irons, etched crossover platforms, and accurate brake piping in metal and plastic components, plus newly-tooled Barber S-2-E, 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps and printed road numbers. It’s weighted to NMRA standards for reliable operation and uses body-mounted McHenry lower-shelf couplers (not shown). The car has a minimum radius of 22 inches, with 24 inches recommended for smooth handling on most layouts, making it a convincing addition to any HO railroad.
