HO Scale NSC 6000 Gondola with Load is a highly detailed HO-model that recreates National Steel Car’s massive 6,000-cu-ft gondolas. Designed to populate a modern freight roster on HO layouts, this loaded gondola gives model railroaders a realistic car for hauling bulk materials or scrap loads with authentic presence.

From the Athearn Genesis line, the car features metal grab irons, etched crossover platforms, and accurately modeled brake piping, plus newly-tooled Barber S-2-E 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps and printed road numbers. It includes a removable scrap load and is weighted to NMRA standards for dependable operation. Body-mounted McHenry lower-shelf couplers ensure smooth connections, and the model is built to run on layouts with minimum radii of 22 inches (24 inches recommended) for reliable performance on typical HO circuits.
