An HO-scale Union Pacific SD59M-2 locomotive, this detailed model reproduces UP’s rebuilt, low-emission freight hauler seen on western rails. Based on the SD60M Phase 2 platform, it adds a newly flared radiator section, an extended conductor’s side step guard, and a 4500-gallon safety fuel tank, along with a windowless nose door. The finish features UP’s Lightning Stripe with Nose Shield and wings, while authentic touches such as animated wheel bearings, lit number boards, see-through cab windows, and a full cab interior deliver a lifelike on-layout presence.

Designed for modern HO layouts, it is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play and a 21-pin NEM connector, with sound-equipped versions offering onboard Tsunami2 sound that runs on both DC and DCC.
