HO-scale Amtrak 50th Anniversary P42DC Genesis locomotive, road number 160, is a meticulously detailed ready-to-run model that honors Amtrak's 50-year milestone. Officially licensed by Amtrak, it recreates one of the commemorative anniversary designs that celebrate half a century of Amtrak service. The AMD103/P42 family includes three nose variations—Amtrak as-built, Amtrak rebuilt, and Via—to reflect the fleet’s diverse appearances on Amtrak and Via Rail Canada fleets.

Designed for authentic operation and display, the model features scale detailing such as flexible MU hoses, a rubber trainline hose, separately applied wire handrails, an exhaust stack, and a photo-etched radiator grille. It rides on a redesigned die-cast frame with a robust Genesis driveline, all-wheel drive, RP25 wheels, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee. LED headlights, ditch lights, and marker lights reproduce the prototype's illumination, and the unit arrives fully assembled and ready to run.
