Inside, a Genesis driveline sits in a die-cast frame for robust traction and smooth operation on HO track, with all-wheel electrical pickup and RP25-contour wheels for reliable performance. LED headlights, operating ditch lights, and rear marker lights add realism, while a DCC-ready Quick Plug interface with a 21-pin NEM connector keeps installation straightforward. Sound-equipped versions feature a Tsunami2 onboard decoder and dual 28mm speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC modes, with full DCC functionality when operating in DCC mode. Prototype-specific details include four nose variations to match Amtrak and Via liveries, separately applied handrails, hoses, and an accurately detailed underframe.
