HO P40DC Locomotive Amtrak Phase III #813 (ATHG82277)

HO-scale Amtrak P40DC Genesis locomotive, Phase III road number 813, is a newly-tooled, officially licensed model designed to faithfully reproduce Amtrak’s Genesis fleet on HO layouts. It features a Phase III faded stripe scheme, cab-mounted strobe lights and an emergency light (operational in DCC), plus a rear hostler window and front and rear marker lights for an authentic look.

Ready to run, the model incorporates a robust Genesis driveline with a five-pole motor and a redesigned die-cast frame for strong traction, along with LED lighting and detailed undercarriage components. It uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee compatible) and offers DCC-ready variants with Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, as well as sound-equipped versions powered by a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 decoder with dual 28mm speakers for realistic engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC. Four nose configurations reproduce Amtrak as-built with strobes, Amtrak as-built without strobes, Amtrak rebuilt, and Via Rail Canada, and MU lashups can be formed for realistic operations. For best performance on HO layouts, a minimum radius of 18 inches is recommended, with 22 inches or larger preferred.
