Santa Fe-liveried HO-scale GP7 Locomotive with DCC and Sound, ATSF #2742, is a detailed model designed for authentic HO-scale operation on model railroad layouts. This release reproduces the prototype’s classic GP7 switcher look with road-number specific detailing and on-board sound to bring switching duties and yard runs to life.

Inside, the model carries an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, dual speakers, and full DCC functionality; in DC mode, engine, horn, and bell sounds still operate. The GP7 features a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole motor, heavy die-cast frame for traction, LED lighting, see-through cab windows with full interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, etched radiator and fan grilles, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee. Road-number 2742-specific detailing includes non-dynamic brakes, a repaint with yellow handrails and blue stanchions, full foot boards, and a left-side Can antenna. DCC-ready Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector provides easy installation, and the model is designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches.
