HO GP9 Locomotive with DCC and Sound, CG 170 is an HO-scale diesel locomotive designed for realistic switching on model railroad layouts. This ready-to-run model blends classic GP9 styling with built-in DCC control and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, delivering authentic operation and lifelike engine noises on both DC and DCC layouts.

Designed for faithful operation, it features a detailed GP9 body with a full cab interior, see-through cab windows, etched radiator and fan grilles, scale handrails, and a heavy die-cast frame for traction. It rides on Blomberg-B trucks with bearing caps and RP25 wheels for smooth running on HO track. DCC-ready Quick Plug technology uses a 21-pin NEM connector for straightforward setup, and sound-equipped versions include an onboard DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound, dual cube speakers, and NMRA-compatible functions that work in both DC and DCC operation. Fully assembled and ready-to-run, it arrives in prototype-inspired paint schemes with a minimum radius of 18 inches and 22 inches recommended for best performance.
