An HO-scale model of the General American Transportation Company’s 2,600-cubic-foot Airslide hopper in Santa Fe livery. Airslide cars were developed in the mid-20th century to move bulk materials like flour, starch, sugar, and plastics by fluidizing the load with air through a permeable bottom, allowing material to flow easily through the outlets for discharge. The replica reproduces the historic single-bay 2,600 cu ft design and is offered in three body styles to suit different layout scenes.

Detail-rich and ready for operation, the model features an injection-molded, highly detailed body with underbody outlet piping and brake piping, a see-through metal roof walk, and separately applied roof hatches and brake wheel. It rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 profiles and can be equipped with either roller bearing or Bettendorf trucks. The car is weighted for steady performance, uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and is accurately painted and printed to match Santa Fe styling. With a minimum 18-inch radius, it’s a versatile addition to yards, sidings, and mainline scenes on an HO layout.
