HO Trinity 3-Bay Covered Hopper cars for HO-scale layouts deliver a realistic model of the classic three-bay hopper used to transport agricultural products, sugar, and dry chemicals. The set includes two body styles that reproduce 10-panel and 12-panel variations and features such as a coupler cut lever and air hose on each end, a separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire brake plumbing, and a photo-etched metal roofwalk. They ride on Genesis 100-ton trucks with animated spinning roller bearing caps, sport body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and use a standard-size draft gear box with a screw-mounted lid. With 36-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours and a weighted chassis for smooth operation, these hoppers run reliably on most HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches.

Primed for grime models, the finish recreates an in-service look with faded base colors matched to the prototype, providing a ready starting point for adding grime and rust to tastefully age the cars on the layout.
