HO Trinity 3-Bay Covered Hopper is a detailed HO-scale model designed to add authentic freight service to a layout. It reproduces two body styles—10-panel and 12-panel—and features end details such as a coupler cut lever and air hoses on both ends, a separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire brake plumbing, and a photo-etched metal roofwalk. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and a standard-size draft gear box with a screw-mounted lid complete the coupling hardware. Rounding out the realism, Genesis 100-ton trucks with animated spinning roller bearing caps ride on 36-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours for smooth operation on most HO track, and the model is weighted for stable performance with a minimum 18-inch radius.

Primed for grime weathering, this hopper presents a believable in-service look with faded base colors matched to the prototype, making it an ideal starting point for adding grime, rust and other weathering effects. The 3-bay design—reflecting the widely used 5,161-cubic-foot capacity—captures a common North American freight car, making it a versatile addition to yard, siding, or mainline scenes on HO layouts.
