SD60M Triclops Repair Kit (ATHG99507)

The SD60M Tri-Clops Repair Kit is a targeted set of replacement parts designed to fix a tooling defect found in the early SD60M Tri-Clops locomotives. It bundles an improved bottom gear cover and sideframe shims to restore proper alignment and smooth operation. The redesigned bottom gear cover uses longer pegs to better capture the truck sideframes, and the included sideframe shims address an omission in production, helping keep the sideframes secured to the gear tower and preventing bearing caps from coming loose. When installed, these parts reduce binding and derailing and bring the locomotive closer to its engineered performance. This kit is specific to the SD60M Tri-Clops units from the initial production run and is not intended for other Athearn locomotives.
