NSC 6400 Gondola with Load is a detailed model freight car designed for model railroading, featuring a removable scrap load to recreate authentic loading scenes on your layout.

Based on National Steel Car's NSC 6400 gondolas introduced in 2006, which offered a 6,400 cubic-foot capacity, this model captures the prototype's variations with multiple top chords and end details. It includes separately applied metal grab irons, etched crossover platforms where applicable, accurate brake piping in metal and plastic, bent wire coupler cut levers, and rubber train line hoses that add realism. The car rides on screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks and uses body-mounted McHenry lower-shelf knuckle couplers for solid coupling. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours provide smooth, reliable rolling on most track brands, while the injection-molded body is highly detailed and accurately painted for prototypical realism. The model is weighted for stable performance and is designed to operate on all popular track brands, with a minimum radius of 11 inches and a recommended radius of 15 inches.
