NSC 6,400 cu ft Gondola with Load is a meticulously detailed freight car that faithfully reproduces National Steel Car’s large-capacity gondolas. Designed for realistic operation on modern model rail layouts, this gondola includes a removable scrap load to enhance authentic loading and unloading scenes on any roster.

Inside, features include separately applied metal grab irons, etched crossover platforms, and accurate brake piping in metal and plastic. Bent wire coupler cut levers and rubber train line hoses add to the prototypical look, while screw-mounted 100-ton roller-bearing trucks and body-mounted McHenry lower-shelf knuckle couplers deliver reliable handling. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ride on a highly detailed, accurately painted injection-molded body. The car is weighted for optimum performance and designed to work with all popular track brands, with a minimum operating radius of 11 inches and a recommended radius of 15 inches.
