N 13,600-Gallon Acid Tank Model (ATHGN15310)

An N-scale replica of a 13,600-gallon acid tank car, offered in two prototype variants for realistic railroad modeling. This finely detailed model captures the distinctive shape of a real acid tanker and includes authentic proportions and features designed to look and perform like the prototype on an N-scale layout.

Highlights include body-mounted Type F “double shelf” McHenry couplers (a first in N scale), separately applied metal grab irons and handrails, rubber trainline hoses, coupler cut levers, and full underbody detailing with brake and train line piping. It also features etched stainless steel crossover platforms and top platforms, two body phases (early and late) with corresponding top platforms, brake systems, and end sills, and weights tuned to NMRA RP-20.1 standards for reliable operation. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth running on Code 40, 55, and 80 track.
