N 13,600-Gallon Acid Tank Plastic Model (ATHGN15311)

This N-scale, 13,600-gallon acid tank car is a plastic model designed to bring authentic, prototypical operation to an N-scale layout, letting hobbyists recreate realistic acid-hauling scenes in a compact form.

Equipped with a first-in-N-scale Type F double-shelf McHenry coupler mounted on the car body, it also features separately applied metal grab irons and handrails, rubber trainline hoses, and coupler cut levers. The model offers full underbody detailing with brake and train-line piping, and etched stainless-steel crossover and top platforms for added realism. It presents two body phases—early and late—with variations in top platforms, brake systems, and end sills to reflect prototype evolution. Weighted to NMRA RP-20.1 standards and fitted with machined RP25 wheels, it rolls on Code 40, 55, and 80 track for reliable operation on a variety of layouts.
