N 33,900-Gallon LPG Tank Model (ATHGN16898)

This is a detailed 33,900-gallon LPG tank car model designed to bring authentic tanker traffic to a model railroad layout. It recreates the look and function of a real LPG tanker, providing a prototypical centerpiece that can run with a variety of track and rolling stock on an existing layout.

It features multiple road numbers and three body phases—early, flat panel, and late—along with separately applied walkways, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging details, safety rail supports, tank saddles and a brake wheel. Photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails and end handrails, and printed placards contribute to a lifelike finish. The model rides on screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks with machined RP25 wheels, and the injection-molded body is accurately painted for realism. Weighted for stable operation, it is designed to run on most track brands with a minimum radius of 9¾ inches and a recommended radius of 11 inches. Upgraded features include McHenry double-shelf couplers, bent wire uncoupling levers, and rubber train line hoses.
