N 33,900-Gallon LPG Tank Model (ATHGN16906)

This N-scale 33,900-gallon LPG Tank Car is a highly detailed model designed for realistic LPG transport on an N-scale railroad layout. It recreates the look of a liquid propane gas tanker to give modelers a credible, era-appropriate car to add to freight trains and yard scenes.

Available with multiple road numbers and options for singles or three-pack sets, the model includes three body phases—early, flat-panel, and late—plus a range of separately applied details such as a walkway platform, a manway, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports, tank saddles and a brake wheel. Photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails, end handrails, and printed placards contribute to the realism. The car rides on screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and the injection-molded body is highly detailed and weighted for stable operation. It is designed to run on most popular brands of track, with a minimum radius of 9¾ inches and an 11-inch radius recommended. Upgraded features include McHenry double-shelf couplers, bent-wire uncoupling levers, and rubber train line hoses to enhance operation and appearance.
