N GATC 2600 Airslide Hopper Model (ATHGN23379)

This is a detailed scale model of General American Transportation's 2,600-cubic-foot Airslide hopper, a mid-century bulk-carrier designed to fluidize and discharge dry goods such as flour, starch, sugar, and plastics through roof hatches. The model faithfully captures the Airslide design and overall proportions, giving rail fans a historically accurate piece for a freight lineup.

Faithful to the prototype, the model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with authentic underbody detailing, including outlet piping, and options for rectangular or oval shaker brackets and gravity or gravity-pneumatic outlets. It rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and can be fitted with either roller bearing or Bettendorf trucks. Factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping, together with separately applied roof hatches and a brake wheel, add to the scale realism, while body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enable reliable coupling. Weighted for steady performance, accurately painted and printed, the car is designed to run on all popular brands of track and ships in a clear plastic jewel box for storage.
