Built to haul bulk materials such as flour, starch, sugar, and plastics, the original Airslide uses two narrow, steep-sided bays and an air-permeable bottom to fluidize the load for smooth discharge. This model captures that distinctive layout and, with a 70-ton capacity, offers an authentic mid-century freight look for a model railroad roster.

Realistic features include a highly detailed injection-molded body with accurate paint and printing, underbody piping and outlets, factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping, and separately applied round roof hatches with a brake wheel.
