An N-scale GATC 2600 Airslide Hopper in PRR/GACX livery recreates a mid‑century bulk-carrier designed for air‑assisted discharge of bulk loads. The Airslide concept uses two narrow, steep‑sided bays with an air‑permeable bottom, through which air is pumped to fluidize the load so it flows to the outlets. With a 2,600 cubic‑foot capacity, this model reflects the era’s design used for commodities such as flour, sugar and plastics.

Designed for realism, the model features a highly detailed injection‑molded body with accurate painting and printing, and a weighted chassis for smooth running on all popular brands of track. It rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and can be paired with roller‑bearing or Bettendorf trucks. Finishing touches include factory‑installed wire grab irons and brake piping, separately applied round roof hatches and brake wheel, and body‑mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers.
