N GATC 2600 Airslide Hopper Revere / GACX Model (ATHGN23397)

The N GATC 2600 Airslide Hopper, Revere is a detailed model of a mid-century airslide covered hopper, designed for realistic model railroad operation. In the prototype, Airslide cars use a bottom-permeable layer and pumped air to fluidize bulk cargo—such as flour, starch, sugar, and plastics—so it can flow easily through the bays and outlets. The model faithfully recreates the two narrow, steep-sided bays and the bottom air-flow system that defined the design.

Feature highlights include a detailed underbody with outlet piping, factory-installed wire grab irons and brake piping, round roof hatches and a brake wheel, and machined metal wheels with RP25 contours. The car can be fitted with either roller-bearing or Bettendorf trucks and uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers for prototypical operation. It’s weighted for stable handling, accurately painted and printed on an injection-molded body, and designed to run on most track brands. The item comes in a clear plastic jewel box for convenient storage.
