The NSC 6000 Gondola with Load is a highly detailed freight car that recreates National Steel Car’s 6,000 cubic-foot capacity gondolas, bringing the look and heft of the prototype to your model railroad for authentic operation and display.

Designed for modern roster realism, this model features separately applied metal grab irons, etched crossover platforms where applicable, and accurate brake piping in metal and plastic. It rides on screw-mounted 100-ton roller bearing trucks with machined metal wheels in RP25 contours, and uses body-mounted McHenry lower-shelf knuckle couplers. The body is fully painted and printed for prototypical realism, weighted for stable handling, and includes a removable scrap load to enhance staging possibilities on your layout.
