HO Dreyfuss Streamlined Hudson Locomotive with DCC - 1938 New York Central #5445 (BAC56601)

HO-scale Dreyfuss Streamlined Hudson Locomotive with DCC is a detailed model of the 1938 New York Central Hudson, finished with Henry Dreyfuss’s distinctive streamlined exterior. While mechanically aligned with earlier J3a Hudsons, the streamlined shell gives it a modern silhouette that graced the era’s premier passenger service, notably the 20th Century Limited between New York and Chicago through the mid-1940s. The model is DCC-equipped for sound, speed, direction, and lighting control, letting you run realistic, prototypical operations right away.

Designed for today’s layouts, this model delivers authentic performance and a wealth of detail: a dual-mode NMRA decoder suitable for DCC or DC operation; CD-quality TCS WOWSound audio; a Keep-Alive device to prevent interruptions on dirty track; and Chuffinity for load-based chuff intensity. It features LED directional headlights with dimming, a die-cast frame and boiler for weight and fidelity, and magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II couplers for easy coupling. Prototypical details such as Boxpok or Scullin drivers add to the authentic look and feel of the locomotive.
